Appalachian Artisans Guild awards 2 scholarships

At a recent event of the Appalachian Artisans Guild, two deserving art students received $500 scholarships to pursue an art-based education.

Bishop Taylor, a graduate of Hillsboro, plans to attend the Columbus School of Design. Claire Guckenberger, a recent Glen Este graduate, will pursue art studies at the University of Cincinnati.

The Appalachian Artisans Guild is a nonprofit artisans group that promotes and preserves traditional craft skills.
