$10,000 presented to Lynchburg-Clay Board of Education

Recently, the Lynchburg-Clay Athletic Boosters presented a check for $10,000 to the Lynchburg-Clay Board of Education.
This amount represents the proceeds raised during the annual 300 Club Dinner that was held in April.
This money is used to make improvements to various portions of the athletic facilities, including some being earmarked for the building of a track at the outdoor athletic complex.
Members of the Board of Education and the Athletic Boosters are very fortunate to have such strong community and alumni support of the athletic programs at Lynchburg-Clay.
Even in tough economic times, numerous area businesses and community members have continued their support of the 300 Club Dinner by making prize donations & purchasing tickets to the event.
In the nine years the dinner has been held, no less than $10,000 has been raised each year.
What an amazing accomplishment that is when you consider there are only around 100 students per grade level.
The Athletic Boosters and the Board of Education would like to extend a very sincere thank you to all who have helped make this Dinner a success.
