Donley, Zink each have hat trick as Lady Lions defeat Peebles
It was a total team winning effort Monday night for the Fairfield Lady Lions, as they earned a Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory over the visiting Peebles Lady Indians by a 13-0 score.
Fairfield had two players earn hat tricks (three goals) in the win, as Faith Donley and Kennedy Zink each had their three goals, plus each player had an assist.
Vivian Henninger and Landry Teeters each collected two goals in the SHAC win, and with one goal each were Rilee Quickle, Kenzie Tolle and Kendal Welling.
Fairfield’s Ava Hooper and Emerson Zink each finished with one assist. At goal for FHS in the shutout was Claire Newkirk.
FHS took 31 shots in the win, as they are now 1-0-0 in the SHAC and 2-0-0 overall.
Next for the Lady Lions is a SHAC game on Wednesday, Aug. 23 on the road at Ripley with a 6:45 p.m. start.
