Dianna Lynn Bailey, 63, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 2, 1960 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Ernest and Della (Shaffer) Wilson.

She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ. Dianna had an extraordinary career of 43 years in banking, many of them with Fifth Third Bank, both at the Lynchburg and Hillsboro offices. Her quick smile and helpful spirit made themselves evident to all she met.

Dianna was a longtime supporter of and volunteered for the Hillsboro Festival of the Bells. She further gave her time by serving on both the Highland District Hospital Board and the Highland County Children’s Home Board for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve Bailey, whom she married Nov. 18, 1978  the Allensburg Church of Christ; two sons, Stephen (Tierney) Bailey and Seth (Amber) Bailey, both of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Michaela, Bryauna, Kinley and Cecilia; two special nephews, Brent (Chrissy) Wilson of Lynchburg and Brian (Ana) Wilson of Sanibel, Fla.; a sister, Debbie (Jim) Cline of Lynchburg; as well as numerous friends.  

A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Bob Stevens will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.
