Dallas Edward Carman

Dallas Edward Carman, 70, of South Salem, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023 at home.
 
He was born May 16, 1953 in Highland County, the son of Theodore “Ted” and Nancy Ann (Buskirk) Carman.
 
He retired in 2019 from GreenScapes Landscaping of Columbus and was a 1971 graduate of E.L. McClain High School.  Dallas loved hunting, fishing, reading westerns and watching the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all, he loved talking about his grandkids, whom he was beyond proud of.
 
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Mosley) Carman, whom he married April 21, 1990; two sons, Tyler Carman (Caitlyn Lovett) of Greenfield and Tony Reese (Jessica Thornton) of Springfield; one daughter, Tammy (Grant) Rodgers of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Lyndi, Logan, E’Laylah, Lilly, Ayden, Adyson, Maddox and Magnus; one brother, Curtis Carman (Charlotte Palmer) of Greenfield; two sisters, Judy Carman of Texas and Charlotte Easter of Greenfield; several nieces, nephews and special cousins; and two uncles, Kim (Kathy) Buskirk of South Carolina and Jon (Jenny) Buskirk of Columbus.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Carman; and mother and stepfather, Nancy and Ralph Blaine.
 
Funeral service will be Monday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Cremation will follow.
 
Visitation will be Monday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
