Constance 'Connie' Hennison

Constance “Connie” Hennison, 87, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.

She was born May 23, 1936 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Edward L. and Goldie Williams.

Connie was a 1954 graduate of Hillsboro High School and had been a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary for many years. She served on the Hillsboro Life Squad for 12 years, was an LPN at Highland District Hospital for over 17 years and had been a clerk for Columbus Southern Electric, also for 17 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Connie is survived by three children, Deborah Hennison, Ronald Jr. (Tammy) Hennison and Timothy (Mary) Hennison, all of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie) Hennison of Hillsboro, Ali (Dawson) Miller of Marysville, Bradi Hennison of Bellefontaine, Reed Hennison of Hillsboro and Chaz (Amber) Campton of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Brylee, Brooklyn, Allyssa, Kallista, Kariana, Gianna, Lila, Elana, Taydem, Garren, Griffin and Maddox; a sister, Linda (Daniel) Zimmerman of Hillsboro; and a stepsister, Patricia Black of Dayton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Neil Hennison, on March 11, 2006.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Good News Gathering, 6250 U.S. Hwy. 62, Hillsboro. Jeff Lyle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the church. The Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
