Connie L. Stanforth

Connie L. Stanforth, 77, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023.



She was born May 22, 1946 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline (Perdue) Fritz. 

Connie loved the outdoors and gardening.



Connie is survived by her husband, Richard Stanforth; stepdaughters, Deanna (Terry) Verboon of Wildomar, Calif. and Rhonda (Larry) Walthall of Lancaster, S.C.; two grandchildren, Samantha Barker and Tyler (Roxie) Barker; five great-grandchildren, Conrad, Garrett, Xander, Briar and Hayden; sisters, Sharon Vires of Dayton and Kay Bonn of Dayton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Janet Stanforth of Martinsville; sister-in-law, Linda Conover of Martinsville; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.


Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Jerry and Bobby Fritz; and a stepson, Ricky Stanforth.



Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
