Today, Oct. 16 on World Food Day, thanks to your generous support, Community Markets via parent company Fresh Encounter Inc. proudly donated a combined total of $50,000 to local food banks. This contribution, part of our "Nourish Our Families" initiative, stems from our back-to-school food drive, "Nourish Our Students", and will provide 36,000 meals to those in need.

Customer donations combined with a donation from Fresh Encounter will be distributed among eight local food banks, including Freestore Food Bank.

As Julie Anderson, VP of Marketing and co-owner of Fresh Encounter Inc. put it, "Together, we're not just filling stomachs, but hearts and futures. Thank you for making this possible and for standing with us in nourishing our community."
