Cincinnati man arrested on drug charges in Scioto County
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced that a Cincinnati man was arrested on drug charges after an investigation conducted by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.
At approximately 4:43 p.m. on Oct. 27, task force officers assisted by Portsmouth Police Dept. SWAT executed a narcotics-related search warrant on 12th Street in Portsmouth.
Upon a search of the residence, officers allegedly seized approximately 390.81 grams of suspected fentanyl/opiates, 51.09 grams of suspected crack cocaine, one loaded firearm, digital scales, sandwich baggies, $1,673 cash, and additional evidence of drug trafficking.
The eestimated street value of suspected drugs allegedly seized is $51,900.
Eric Tywan Johnson, 28, of Cincinnati, was arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of drugs, both felonies of the first degree.
