Christopher A. Ely

Christopher A. Ely, 58, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023 at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Christopher was born June 25, 1965, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Thomas Ely and Joanne Kendler.

Christopher worked at the Randall Company in Wilmington for several years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and hanging out with his friends.

Christopher is survived by his son, Chase (Sabria) Ely of London; a granddaughter, Evelyn Ely; his father, Thomas Ely of Irma, S.C.; four siblings, Charles (Kelly) Ely of New Vienna, Thomas (Thelma) Ely of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Paula (Dirk) Simmons of Leesburg and Sherry Pelletier of Simpsonville, S.C.; a special friend, Kevin Fugate; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
