Charles E. 'Butch' Dodds

Charles E. “Butch” Dodds, 82, of the Rainsboro community, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023.

Butch was born July 9, 1941 in Highland County, the son of the late Donald H. and Mary Kathleen (Taylor) Dodds Sr.

Butch was a 1959 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. He retired from White Consolidated Industries, formerly Frigidaire.

On Sept. 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Marian A. (Clark) Dodds, who survives. They were blessed with four loving daughters, Amy (Eric) Kline of Frankfort, Janet (Tom) Taylor of Greenfield, Rebecca (Michael) Crabtree of South Salem and Ruth (Craig) Cutright of Leesburg; nine grandchildren, Erica (Sean) Dumford, Colleen Kline, Ryan Kline, Owen Kline, Ezekiel Crabtree, Zoei Crabtree, Logan Cutright, Emily Cutright and Elizabeth Cutright; three great-grandchildren, Corbin Dumford, Carter Dumford and Ellis Renault; one sister, Mary “Bea” Mustard of Rainsboro; one brother, Steve (Amor) Dodds of Salinas, Calif.; brother-in-law, Joe Clyburn of Bainbridge; sister-in-law, Martha Dodds of Chillicothe; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by  his sister, Ann Clyburn; two brothers, Gary Lee Dodds and Donald H. Dodds Jr.; brother-in-law, Gary Mustard; and one nephew, David Mustard.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 at 3 p.m. at the Rainsboro Methodist Church, 7579 State Route 753, Greenfield 45123. Pastor Terry Washburn and Pastor Jamie Darling will officiate. Burial will be in the Gilboa Cemetery.

Gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. at the Rainsboro Methodist Church.
