Beverly Jo Davis
Beverly Jo Davis, 68, of Milford, formerly of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 at her home.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1955 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Jessie Sue (Teegarden) Roades.
Beverly was a 1973 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School, and she was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, crafting and traveling all over the U.S. and Canada with her husband, William. She cherished the time she spent with her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandson, family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Beverly is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, William Davis, whom she married on Nov. 24, 1973 in the Allensburg Church of Christ; three daughters, Michelle (Justin) McQueen of Hebron, Ky., Christie (Brian) Graver of Dillsboro, Ind. and Amy (Jeff) Stabler of Goshen; eight grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Gabby Schaffer, Maddie (Aaron) McQueen-Akin, Kaylie Harris, Mackenzie Graver, Alison Wilson, Owen Graver and Logan Graver; a great-grandson, Beckham; a sister, Jerri (Bill) Stewart of Winchester; two brothers, Darrel Roades of Lynchburg and Kirk Roades of Xenia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Athena Roades.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. following visitation on Nov. 6 at the funeral home. Burial will take place following services in the Dunns Chapel Cemetery.
