Wildcats are SHAC Div. II champs; run-rule Fairfield Lions

The Whiteoak Wildcats run-ruled the visiting Fairfield Lions in six innings, winning by a score of 13-3 in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play, as they’ve clinched the Division II SHAC championship.
The Wildcats were led by senior Evan Brill, who pitched all six innings for the Wildcats.
The first inning of the Wildcats and Lions game ended with a score of 0-0, as Ty Large scored the first run of the game for the Wildcats in the second inning off an RBI double by Brill.

Brill came back onto the mound after driving home a run at the plate and struck out the side in order.
Both the Lions and Wildcats scored three runs in the third. Seniors Chase Butler and Ryan Roberts and junior Zach Harless scored for the Wildcats in the inning. Senior Ethan Grooms, sophomore Nathan Vidourek and freshman Hunter Burns scored in the inning for the Lions, their only runs of the game.
The final nine runs of the game came off the bats of Harless, Large, Roberts, Brill, Billy Oliver and Michael Igo over the course of the remainder of the game. Oliver scored the final run of the game after a bases-loaded walk to Harless.
Sam Buddelmeyer started the game for the Lions and took the loss. Jacob Morgan and Austin Setty came in to pitch in relief. Brill started and won the game for the Wildcats, pitching a complete game.
