Whiteoak Wildcats baseball earns recent victories
In recent games the Whiteoak Wildcats baseball team had wins against Ripley, Fayetteville, Clinton-Massie and Clay.
Whiteoak 29, Ripley 0
The Whiteoak Wildcats earned a convincing victory over the Ripley Blue Jays, winning by a score of 29-0. WHS scored 18 runs in the first inning during the game played at Whiteoak High School, then followed the Southern Hills Athletic Conference game with five runs in the bottom of the second and six more runs in the third inning for their total amount of scoring.
WHS had 10 hits in the win and walked 16 times.
At the plate WHS was led by 10 different players each having one hit with those players being Landon Barnett, Carson Emery, Nate Price, David Donohoo, Jacen Applegate, Ian Griffith, Connor Butler, Solomon Combs, Eli Roberts and Zander Roades.
Luken Roades finished with four runs, four walks and two steals. Barnett totaled three runs, three RBI, one double, one walk, one SAC and one steal. Wyatt Ruark had one walk in the win for WHS, while teammate Emery finished with two runs, three RBI, one double and was hit by a pitch twice.
Also for the Wildcats, Price finished with two runs, two RBI and two walks. WHS teammate Dakota Clift collected one run, two RBI and two walks. Donohoo ended the game with two runs, one RBI and one hit by pitch. Applegate finished with one run, three RBI, one double and a walk.
There was also Griffith with two runs, three RBI and a walk. Isaiah Rowe collected two runs and two walks.
Butler had two runs, four RBI and a walk, while Combs finished with one run and two RBI. Roberts totaled three runs, one RBI, one walk and a SAC. Zander Roades finished the game with four runs, one RBI and three walks.
The winning pitcher was Roberts, as he allowed no runs on two hits and no walks, with six strikeouts in five innings.

Whiteoak 16, Fayetteville 5
Next for the Wildcats was a 16-5 win over the Fayetteville Rockets at WHS in SHAC competition.
Whiteoak started off the bottom of the first with three runs and followed with seven runs in the second inning. From there, they added one run in the third and five runs in the fifth inning. Fayetteville had a two-run second inning, two more runs in the top of the third and one run in the fifth inning.
For Whiteoak, Price was 2-for-2 with two runs, three RBI, two walks and three steals. Roberts finished 2-for-2 with one run, six RBI, two doubles, two walks and one steal.
Also for the Wildcats, Luken Roades had one hit, two runs and one walk, while teammate Barnett totaled two runs, one RBI, one walk, one SAC and one steal.
Whiteoak also saw Emery collect three runs, one RBI, one walk and three steals. Donohoo ended the game with two runs, one hit, one walk, and two steals. Griffith finished with one hit, one run, two RBI and a SAC.
Butler totaled two runs and a walk, while teammate Zander Roades had one run, one walk and one SAC.
The no-decision on the mound went to Emery who allowed four runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in three innings. The win went to Kaden Moon-Stone (2-1) who allowed one unearned run on no hits and no walks in two innings. He finished with four strikeouts against eight batters.

Whiteoak 5, Clinton-Massie 1
It was another non-conference victory for the Whiteoak Wildcats when they hosted the Clinton-Massie Falcons, winning by a 5-1 score.
This time the Wildcats scored one run in the first, followed with two runs in the third, a run in the fifth and a final run in the sixth inning. The Falcons scored their lone run in the top of the fifth inning.
Whiteoak finished with six hits with Emery going 2-for-2 with one run, one walk and two steals. Luken Roades was 1-for-2 with one run, one RBI, one double, one walk and he was hit by a pitch.
Barnett ended with a 1-for-2 day at the plate with one run, one RBI and one walk. Price had two RBI and two SAC. Griffith ended with one hit (a double), while Butler forced two walks. Zander Roades was 1-for-1 with two runs and two walks.
Barnett was the winning pitcher as he pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on six hits and two walks, with six strikeouts. Moon-Stone closed out the game with one inning of relief, allowing no runs on one hit and he had one strikeout.
“We were situational early offensively with solid base running, and two SAC flies from Nate Price. We were also clutch late with Ian Griffith and Luken Roades delivering big two-out RBI hits in the fifth and sixth respectively,” WHS head coach Chris Veidt said. “Landon Barnett gave us a quality start and six solid innings, then Kaden Moon-Stone slammed the door in the seventh.”

Whiteoak 14, Clay 0
The Whiteoak Wildcats earned a non-conference victory over Clay by a 14-0 score.
This game saw Whiteoak win at VA Memorial Stadium in convincing fashion with seven runs in the first inning, followed with one run in the second and three runs in the third. From there the Wildcats added two runs in the fourth to wrap up their scoring.
Luken Roades was the winning pitcher as he threw five innings in the complete game as WHS won via the run-rule. In his effort on the mound, Roades finished with no runs allowed on two hits and no walks, with seven strikeouts.
At the plate for WHS, Roberts was the leading batter going 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, a triple and one walk.
Luken Roades had a triple, three runs, one RBI, one walk, one hit by pitch and a steal. Barnett finished with a hit and one run, while Emery totaled one hit (a double), two runs, three RBI, one walk and a SAC.
Price finished with one hit, two RBI and a SAC. There was also Donohoo with one run and an RBI. Griffith ended the game with one run and a walk. Butler finished the game with one hit, one run and one RBI. Moon-Stone collected one hit, two runs and two RBI in the victory for the Wildcats.
“The kids put everything together well again today,” WHS head coach Chris Veidt said. “Luken was outstanding on the mound, just missing our third consecutive no-hitter. Eli, Nate, and Carson led us offensively. Defensively we had zero freebies.”
