Whiteoak stays No. 1 ranked team in Division IV in Week 4 poll

For the third straight week, the Whiteoak Wildcats have been voted as the No. 1 team in the state for Division IV baseball following the Week 4 poll, and they’ve not been out of the top two teams all season.
Whiteoak was awarded 19 first-place votes when the polls were released Monday morning, followed by two second-place votes, two third-place votes and two fourth-place votes, totaling 243 points as they have an overall record of 24-1.

Next, in second place, was Carey (21-1) with 221 total points, including three first-place votes, 13 second-place votes, three third-place votes, four fourth-place votes and one fifth-place votes.
Third place went to Lake Ridge Academy (21-2) (one first-place vote, five second-place votes, 10 third-place votes, five fourth-place votes and four fifth-place votes) for a point total of 203.
In fourth place was Toronto (18-4-1), with 187 points (including six first-place votes), and in fifth place was Lincolnview (19-3) with 139 points.
The rest of the Top 10 included: St. Henry (133 points), St. Paul (129 points), Seneca East (120), Hicksville (70) and Newton Local (56).
The 11th through 19th teams for Week 4 are: 11, Lima Central Catholic (20), 12, New Breman (18), 13, Portsmouth Clay (14), 14, Minster (11), 15, Fort Loramie (9), 16T Canterburg (6), 16T Kalida (6), 18, Fisher Catholic (5), 19T Berne Union (2) and 19T Strasburg-Franklin (2). Also receiving a vote was Dalton (1).
