Whiteoak sophomore Weston Blair finishes 17th in Division III state 800m run

COLUMBUS — Whiteoak sophomore Weston Blair made his high school state debut on Saturday morning, as he raced against 17 other athletes in the Division III 800-meter run at the 2022 OHSAA State Track and Field Championships.
In the race held at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, on the campus of The Ohio State University, Blair finished with a time of 2:04.31, finishing in 17th place.
Junior Kaleb Nastari of United was the state champion in the race with a time of 1:49.56.
In ’22, Blair became a state qualifier for the OHSAA Division III State Championships in the 800m run with a PR time of 1:58.17 in regionals held at Southeastern High School in Chillicothe, which was a third-place finish.
Blair was also first place in the 800m run with a time of 2:07.57 at the Southern Hills Athletic Conference championships. Blair then won a district championship in the 800m run at 2:02.81, as that event was held at Northwest High School, in McDermott.
