Whiteoak loses home game to Manchester in SHAC contest

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats were unable to defend their home court on Thursday night in a Southern Hills Athletic Conference contest, falling to the Manchester Lady Greyhounds by a 47-13 score.

Manchester scored 11 points in the first half and followed that with a 12-point second frame for a 23-8 lead at halftime. In the second half, Manchester added four points in the third frame, followed by 20 points in the fourth quarter.

Brooke Kennedy led Manchester with 11 points, and also in double figures for MHS was McKenzie Morrison with 10 points.

For the game, Manchester totaled 16 two-point baskets, two 3-pointers and they were 9-of-21 from the free-throw line.

Whiteoak was led by Cylee Bratton with six points, followed by Kayla Jones with three points. Scoring two points each were Kensley Bailey and Ann Ames.

Next for the Lady Wildcats (0-2, 0-5) is a home game on Monday, Dec. 9 in an SHAC game against the Fairfield Lady Lions, who are 5-1 overall this season and 2-0 in the SHAC.
