SHAC boys basketball preview held at Ripley Friday night

The 2018-19 Southern Hills Athletic Conference boys basketball preview was held on Friday night at Ripley High School, as all 10 boys basketball teams took part in the annual preseason event.
Each game consisted of two quarters as the teams prepared for the upcoming season.
In the first two-quarter game of the night, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs defeated the Manchester Greyhounds by a 29-19 score. Next was the West Union Dragons defeating the Fayetteville Rockets at 47-35.
In the third game of the night, the North Adams Green Devils defeated the Peebles Indians by a 39-23 score, and in the fourth game of the evening, the Eastern Brown Warriors won over the Fairfield Lions by a 27-19 score.
The final game of the evening saw the host Ripley Blue Jays defeat the Whiteoak Wildcats, 29-21.
Last season, the West Union Dragons were the champions of the SHAC Division I standings with a 10-3 conference record. From there in Division I of the SHAC, Eastern Brown and Ripley were each 8-5 in the conference, followed by Lynchburg-Clay at 7-6 and North Adams at 4-9.
Also last season in Division II of the SHAC, the champions were the Peebles Indians at 11-2 in conference play. They were followed by Fayetteville at 6-7 and then Whiteoak at 5-8. In fourth last season was Fairfield at 4-9, with Manchester at 2-11.
