Hillsboro girls 1st, Fairfield 4th at bowling sectionals

The Hillsboro Lady Indians and the Fairfield Lady Lions each placed in the Top 4 in the sectional tournament this past week, where they both have qualified for the district round.

Hillsboro finished with a score of 3,493, followed by Washington at 3,111, Miami Trace 3,108 and Fairfield at 3,103 with all four teams qualifying for district play.
Other teams from Highland County included Lynchburg-Clay in seventh (2879), McClain (2,725) and Whiteoak (2,366).
Hillsboro scores were: Maddie Tomko (406), Olivia Wilson (470), Taylor Jordan (564), Haley Hughes (492) and Selena Mingua (554).
Scoring for Fairfield included: Morgan Baker (413), Taylor Lawson (481), Gracie Lawson (391), Sarah Wuellner (104 - one game), Madison Miller (412) and Sadie Knisley (312).
Lynchburg-Clay had the following scores: Morghan Sellman (355), Mikaela Tipton (432), Oliva Balon (419), Allie Stroop (402) and Sophia Balon (364).
McClain had the following scores: Kenzie Hester (399), Sadie Willett (423), Noel Brooks (420), Kaleigh Easter (384) and Hannah Knisley (310).
Whiteoak finished with the following results: Hope Hofer (291), Eve Holt (246), Jade Walker (378), Brie Blanton (344) and Autumn Jodrey (377).
