Allering shoots hole-in-one in Fairfield win

Fairfield sophomore Noah Allering made a hole-in-one Tuesday afternoon at Buckeye Hills’ hole 11 while helping the Lions defeat Whiteoak during match play, 187-210.

Allering stepped up to the tee for the second hole of the match, and using his hybrid 4-wood, one-hopped the ball into the hole on the 223-yard par-3.

Allering finished the round with a score of 47. Connor Priest led Fairfield with a 45, followed by Logan Rhode at 46. Owen Larrick had a score of 49, and Bryce Posey rounded out the team scoring at 51.
