’19 SHAC volleyball preview held at North Adams High School

With the latter stages of the preseason wrapping up, the Southern Hills Athletic Conference held their 2019 volleyball preview on Friday night at North Adams, as all 10 schools in the conference participated in the event.

Each match was two sets, with the winner being the team that scored 21 points first.

In the opener of the SHAC preseason contest, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs and the Fairfield Lady Lions each won one set. LCHS won the first set at 21-14, followed by the Lady Lions winning, 21-9 in set two.

Next were the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats and the Ripley Lady Blue Jays, where WHS swept the match by winning set one 21-8 and set two 21-11.

In the third match of the preseason SHAC event, Peebles won both sets over West Union by scores of 21-13 and 21-14.

The fourth match was Eastern Brown against Fayetteville as both teams each won a set. The Lady Warriors of Eastern won 21-19 in the first set, while Fayetteville won the second set at 21-12.

The final match of the evening saw the host North Adams team defeat Manchester in two sets at 21-13 and 21-15.
