  • OSHP investigating fatal crash in Clinton County
    The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in one death. The crash occurred on Saturday, April 8 at approximately 10:44 a.m. on Antioch Road near Scissorville Road in Clinton County.

  • LCHS, Whiteoak marching bands perform in Reds Opening Day parade
    The Cincinnati Reds pitching struggled to find the strike zone on Opening Day as they walked nine Pittsburgh Pirates, three of whom went on to score, in a 5-4 Bucs' victory March 30. Prior to the game, the Reds' Opening Day festivities included the annual parade, which included marching bands from Lynchburg-Clay High School and Whiteoak High School.

    AI development is at the point where researchers are not sure when its intelligence will surpass humanity’s and concede perhaps it already has. Earlier this week, an open letter containing names like Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple) and others gained over 1,000 (latest count 2,137) signatures calling for at least a six-month pause in training the AI systems to be more powerful than Chat GPT-4. Others are saying the pause needs to be 30 years. Good luck with that.
  • Greenfield PD, HC Task Force arrest two in fentanyl bust
    Arrested were Daryl Bumgarner, 34, and Hope Rowland, 25, both of 645 McKell Avenue, Greenfield. Both suspects are charged with possession of fentanyl, a felony of the first degree. Bond has been set at $1,000,000 for each and arraignment is set for Friday, March 31 at Highland County Court in Greenfield.

    Our lack of acceptance of many issues on the table today is simply because no one has made the effort to explain them in a way we can understand. As long as they can be lazy and just implement such issues by government fiat, they will not attempt to explain them. Such an attitude is an insult to democracy and to our citizens.

  • Hillsboro man sentenced for failure to comply
    An Hillsboro man was sentenced to prison recently after pleading guilty to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
