Highland County commissioners Terry Britton, David Daniels and Brad Roades proclaimed the month of May as Older Americans Month in Highland County during their Wednesday, May 6 meeting.
In recognition of Older Ohioans Month, which coincides with Older Americans Month, the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Financial Institutions and the Department of Aging are calling attention to the growing issue of scams targeting state’s seniors and how Ohioans can better protect themselves and their loved ones.
May is a pretty special time of the year at our Agency – it’s Older Americans Month. It’s a time to celebrate the wonderful contributions given by so many older adults in our communities and express our gratitude for their years of positive influence and dedication to their families, friends and neighbors.
Highland County commissioners David Daniels, Brad Roades and Terry Britton recognized May as Older Americans Month, celebrating the occasion with representatives from two local organizations during the commission’s Wednesday, May 1 meeting.
