  • Eastern Eagles swoop in on Mustangs to take away win

    Holding an eight-point lead with 1:02 left in the fourth quarter, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs were unable to hold on to the advantage in that final minute, as the Eastern Eagles of Pike County swooped in with a 9-0 run, taking home the victory by a 54-52 score in the second game of the Chad Hodson Classic at Fairfield High School, Saturday, Jan. 3.
  • Fairfield Lions clinch sectional crown; shut out Eastern Eagles 
    Overcoming some rain, a bases-loaded fourth inning and a seventh inning with two runners on the bases, the Fairfield Lions overcame those obstacles and then some as they earned a third consecutive sectional championship by defeating the No. 17 seeded Eastern Eagles, 2-0 at Fairfield High School.
  • Wilkin announces funds for Eastern Local Schools
    State Senator Shane Wilkin (R-Hillsboro) announced that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources has awarded a Boating Education and Safety grant to Eastern Local Schools in Pike County. The program's goal is to strengthen local boating education programs for youth and adult residents.
