Evans inks with Patriots Steven Evans to play for SSCC

Steven Evans of Leesburg has signed a letter of intent to be a member of the Southern State Community College men’s basketball team for the 2009-10 season.
   Evans, the son of Cheryl Bowan and Jeff Evans, is a 2009 graduate of Fairfield High School.
   “Steven has basketball skills from quality high school coaching which will assist him in making the transition to college competition,” said head coach Ted Creamer.
   “He will be an integral player on Southern State’s 12-member squad.”
   The SSCC men’s basketball team opens the season 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, in a home game against the Wright-Patterson Air Force college team.
   There is no admission charge.
