The Ohio Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association has released its 2025 All-Southeast District teams, with Highland County having 15 players — including two players of the year — and two coaches earning recognition.
Leading the way for Highland County were Division IV Player of the Year Camryn Spruell, a senior from Hillsboro, and Division VI Co-Player of the Year Jobey Hattan, a senior from Fairfield (who shared honors with Portsmouth West senior Maci Bradford). Coach of the Year honors went to Hillsboro’s Gary Breeden in Division IV and to Fairfield’s Ellen Binegar in Division VI.
Along with Spruell, McClain junior Brie Cummins and Hillsboro junior Chloe Roberts were named to the Division IV first team. Hattan was joined on the Division VI first team by Lynchburg-Clay juniors Noel Barnhill and Sophia Michael as well as Fairfield junior Rilee Quickle.
Receiving second-team honors were McClain senior Kenzie Wise in Div. IV, as well as Div. VI’s Fairfield senior Carly Sanders, Fairfield freshman Kelsie Crowder and Lynchburg-Clay junior Reese Ruble.
Honorable mention players (all Div. IV) included Hillsboro seniors Addie Huff and Isabelle Brunck and McClain juniors Olivia Stegbauer and Leah Lovett.
