Fairfield volleyball shares SHAC Div. II championship with Fayetteville

Following each team gaining a win in their respective Southern Hills Athletic Conference games on Thursday evening, both the Fairfield Lady Lions and Fayetteville Lady Rockets finished with 10-3 records in conference play, allowing them to share the 2025 SHAC championship.
The Oct. 9 win for the Lady Lions saw them defeat Peebles in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-20. On the same day, the Lady Rockets defeated Manchester by scores of 25-21, 25-11 and 26-24.
For the Lady Lions, they totaled 26 kills, 25 assists, 12 aces, 43 digs and nine blocks against Peebles in their game at Grandle Gymnasium.
FHS had Remi Moon lead the team in kills with 15, as she also collected three aces and six digs.
Jorja May finished with 10 kills and added three aces and nine digs.
The digs leader was Alyssa Bales with 10. Also for the Lady Lions, Addison Cannon led the team with four aces, plus she had one assist, two digs and four blocks.
Fairfield’s blocks leader in the match was Bailey Jones with five, and she also had one kill. Fairfield also saw Paisley Stahlhut total a team-high 23 assists in the match, along with two aces and seven digs.
Also for the Lady Lions, Ally Maynard had nine digs, and Ayla Parker totaled one assist.
For the regular season, Fairfield finishes with an overall record of 15-7.
Next for Fairfield is a tournament match Tuesday, Oct. 14 at home against the Paint Valley Lady Bearcats at 7 p.m.
