Fairfield Lions earn 1st win of season

The Fairfield boys soccer team won at Ripley on Monday evening (Sept. 15) by defeating the host Blue Jays at 4-2. 

The Lions had four goals from four different players, as the goal scorers for the Lions were sophomore Logan Burgess, sophomore Silas Newman, senior Aiden Teeters and freshman Blake Walters. 

Assists went to freshman Cam Caudill, sophomore Joel Matthews, and Walters. 

At goal for the Lions was Anderson Humphreys with six saves. 

Fairfield improves to 1-4-0 in the SHAC and 1-9-0 overall.
