Teacher retirement planning workshop Oct. 6

The Highland County Retired Teachers’ Association (HCRTA) will sponsor a pre-retirement information workshop for all active teachers and administrators who are planning to retire in the next few years.

The workshop will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 in the Hillsboro Elementary School Library on US Route 62 South.

Kelley McChristy from STRS will discuss general retirement procedures and she will also answer specific personal questions related to retirement. McChristy is the member education coordinator for STRS, and she is an excellent source of information.

The workshop is free and open to all teachers and administrators. For additional information, please contact HCRTA President Jim Faust at 937-288-2235.
