St. Vincent de Paul Society announces upcoming outreach sessions

The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hillsboro is announcing its upcoming outreach sessions to be held Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Parish Hall at 119 E. Walnut in Hillsboro, and also on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Parish Hall.    

These outreach sessions provide opportunities for those in need of assistance to meet with SVDP volunteers to discuss their situations and receive help. Typical forms of assistance include payment of utility bills, vouchers for gasoline, furnishings and food.  

Persons seeking assistance should bring identification, copies of bills that they are seeking help with and verification of income. People are seen on a first-come, first serve basis.
