Premier Showmen 4-H Club members participate in pre-fair judging

Premier Showmen 4-H Club 

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club proudly participated in pre-fair judging on Saturday, Aug. 9, where members showcased their special interest projects. Each member spent the summer learning new skills, exploring hobbies, and building knowledge to prepare for the upcoming Highland County Fair. Members who completed pre-fair judging included:

● Chloe Fullenkamp – Science Fun with Dairy Foods, where she explored the dairy industry and the science behind products made from milk.

● Wyatt Osborn – Bicycling for Fun, learning and teaching others about bicycle safety.

● Graden Johnson – Ready, Set, Mow, focusing on how to operate different types of mowers and proper lawn care.

● Liam Frost – Crank It Up, where he studied small engines and worked to repair equipment such as his weed eater.

● Austin Bohrer – completed Basic Archery, focusing on archery skills and safety, along with From Airedales to Zebras.

● Bricen Stevens – Outdoor Adventure: Beginning Fishing, learning about fishing equipment and how to make fishing line
from natural resources.

● Jada Johnson – Horseless Horse, exploring the horse industry while learning about her passion for horses.

● Gunner Alsip – My Favorite Things, where he learned how to properly store and preserve a collection.

● Noah Johnson – My Favorite Things, focusing on how to build and care for a collection.

● Cole Lumen – Finding Your Voice: Public Speaking, exploring different types of speeches and building skills to become a confident speaker.

● Kenley Juillerat – Hands to Larger Service, where she focused on making a difference in her community by helping and brightening the days of others.

The results of these projects will be announced during the Junior Fair Awards presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Highland County Fair. The projects will also be displayed in the Premier Showmen 4-H Club booth throughout fair week.
