Music at St. Mary's concert series to feature performance by 4 PRAISE Piano Quartet Dec. 8

4 PRAISE Piano Quartet will perform in concert Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 234 North High St., in Hillsboro as part of the “Music at St. Mary’s” series.

The quartet consists of Jennie Harner, Mindy Lee, Marilyn Myers and Debbie Vesely. They have been playing together for three years.

The COVID pandemic left many folks bereft and without a compass. On the other hand, we hear many stories of people who thrived during the lockdowns, cancellation of programs and more. The story of 4 PRAISE is one of the latter.

Around 2021, Myers found some music for 8 hand/2 piano. Her church had been using 4 hand piano for some of their streamed services, and she thought it would be fun to explore the music she had. Before long, 4 PRAISE, performing two piano/eight hand music, had its founding.

Music at St. Mary's is a concert series presented to the Highland County community at no charge. We exist on donations collected at the concerts and other donations made by friends who want to support the series.
