Carpenters House of Prayer hosts comprehensive safety officer seminar

The Carpenters House of Prayer recently hosted a comprehensive safety officer seminar, taking a proactive approach to protecting its congregation and strengthening overall church security.

Churches from across the community sent their safety and security personnel to participate, all with a shared goal: to better identify and understand potential threats facing their ministries.

The speaker delivered valuable insight across multiple facets of church safety, including:

• Situational awareness;

• De-escalation techniques for handling upset individuals;

• Firearms considerations;

• Safeguarding financial operations;

• Protecting children and youths;

• Fire response and severe weather preparedness;

• Legal liabilities; and

• Medical emergencies.

By addressing these critical topics, church leaders are better equipped to maintain a safe environment and focus on their mission within the church.

This seminar was intentionally nondenominational, recognizing that safety challenges affect all churches regardless of faith tradition. The event underscored a shared commitment across the community to protect congregations and ensure places of worship remain secure and welcoming.
