Supreme Court's 9-0 unanimous decision to keep President Trump on the ballot a major win for American democracy

COLUMBUS – Today, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court's unanimous ruling for Trump in Colorado ballot disqualification dispute:

"The Supreme Court's 9-0 unanimous decision to keep President Trump on the ballot is a major win for American democracy and the rule of law. The American people decide who our president is, and this decision upholds that most basic principle," Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou said.

Background

Late last year, the Ohio Republican Party was proud to endorse President Trump in the 2024 Republican Primary.

In September 2023, Chairman Triantafilou posted on social media, "Trying to deny Trump access to the ballot is the worst act of voter suppression in American history and ANYONE who advocates such a radical plan should leave politics. It’s extremist and dangerous."
