Richard L. Taylor, 60, of Peebles (Latham Community), died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1948 in Rarden, the son of the late Delbert L. Windel and Hazel Taylor of Sinking Spring. He was a truck driver and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Laura Wingo of Gainesville, Ga.., Amanda Young of Fort Carson, Colo., and Emily Taylor of Gainesville, Ga.; three grandsons, Gunner Young, Fisher Young, and Taylor Wingo; one brother, Troy Howard of Sinking Spring; four sisters, Rosemary Warden of Texas, Barbara Hoople of McDermont, Virgie Howard of Hillsboro, and Evelyn Osborne of Sinking Spring; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were Sept. 15 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
