Earl Lee Clarke, 63, of Washington C.H., formerly of Greenfield, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born Oct. 13, 1945 in Carter County, Ky., the son of the late Junior and Thelma (Cline) Clarke. He was formerly co-owner and co-operator of Gerri's Variety Shop in Greenfield and a former factory employee. He is survived by his girlfriend, Nancy Taylor, of Washington C.H.; three stepchildren, Donnie (Beaulah) Riffle of Jackson, Lowell (Bobbie) Riffle of Waverly, and Jo Ann Richardson of Greenfield; many loving grandchildren; three sisters, Martha (Bill) Martin of Jamestown, Alice (Jack) Woody of Beavercreek, and Sue Blair of Dayton; one brother, James Clarke, of Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Gerri and John Clarke Walls of Greenfield and Danny Taylor of Washington Court House. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stepchildren, Gerri Lynn Louk and Tim Humphrey. Services were Sept. 14 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Pastor Todd Ernst officiating. Burial was held at the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation was Monday.[[In-content Ad]]
