The tournament road continues for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs in the ’09 season as they defeated the West Union Dragons 5-0 Monday night at Lynchburg-Clay High School in the girls soccer Division II SE District Sectional Semifinals.

Hillsboro Planning Commission to meet on two alley closings
There will be a joint public hearing before the Hillsboro City Council and the Hillsboro Planning Commission on the request to close the alley between 151 and 155 Trenton Street.  The hearing is for the express purpose of hearing public comment on the proposed alley closing and will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. or immediately following the hearing on the East Collins Avenue rezoning in the Hillsboro Municipal Court Room at the Justice Center at 130 Homestead Avenue.

Highland Soil and Water Conservation District's Annual Banquet Held
   The annual meeting and banquet of the Highland SWCD was held on Oct. 15 at the Senior Citizens Center in Hillsboro. During the banquet, several awards were presented and the election of supervisors took place. Jim and Sandy Ditmer of Ditmer Farms took home top honors at this year's Annual Banquet by being named the 2009 Cooperator of the year by the Highland SWCD supervisors and staff.
