The body of an adult female was found Saturday in the Fallsville Wildlife Area.

Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward told The Highland County Press that the woman had been reported missing earlier this week, and at this point they do not consider the death to be suspicious.

Highland County Coroner Dr. Paul Terrell was called to the scene and ordered that the body be transferred to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.

Terrell said that he could not speak to the cause of death at this point.

Authorities have not released her name, pending notification of family members, Ward said.

"She was reported missing from Clinton County on Thursday this week," Ward said. "We received information this afternoon of a location in the Fallsville area, and we checked in that area and found the vehicle that she was last seen driving. She was found, and there is nothing suspicious initially."

Ward said that more information would be released following the autopsy results.
