A Hillsboro woman was arrested this week after she allegedly became belligerent with personnel at Hillsboro Fire and Rescue, and lied to police officers about her identity.

According to a report from the Hillsboro Police Department, they received a call from Hillsboro Fire and Rescue at approximately 10:18 p.m. Sunday in reference to "an unknown female at the fire department being very belligerent toward them."

When the HPD officer arrived at the fire station, located at 204 North East Street, "the officer observed the female yelling and using profanity toward the fire/EMT personnel. The female was asked for her name or ID. She provided a false name and stated she did not have an ID. There was also a very strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath.

"It was later found that she also lied to the officer and did have her ID on her," according to the report. "The female was found to be Patricia A. Stivers, 55, of Hillsboro, who was charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct by intoxication."

According to the Hillsboro Municipal Court website, Stivers pleaded guilty to the charge of obstructing official business, a second degree misdemeanor, on Monday. She was fined $750 and was given 30 days in jail, with the jail sentence suspended. The disorderly conduct charge was dismissed.
