Winter storm warning continues; school closings, delays announced

A winter storm warning has been issued for southwest Ohio, including Highland County, from 11 a.m. Tuedsay until 1 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.

Snow accumulations Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning could range from 3 to 5 inches, with higher totals to the north, the Weather Service said. Some ice accumulation also is possible.

Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools, Bright Local Schools, Greenfield Exempted Village Schools, Hillsboro City Schools, Fairfield Local Schools and the Hillsboro Christian Academy are closed Wednesday, March 6. Also closed are St. Mary Catholic School, Southern State Community College and Chatfield College.
