Visitation, funeral services announced for Sgt. Walker

Services have been announced for Sgt. Donald L. "Donnie" Walker of the Highland County Sheriff's Office, who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 2.

Visitation/viewing will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, 8230 US 50, Hillsboro from 2-4 p.m. with Masonic Services to be held at 4 p.m., promptly; and from 6-8 p.m., with FOP Services to be held at 8 p.m., promptly.

Funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at Southern State Community College Patriot Center, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. Interment will take place at the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Uniform-of-the-day will be observed, with mourning badges to be worn.

Sgt. Walker will be laid to rest with full police honors.
