Two Hillsboro residents face charges in Brown County

Two Hillsboro residents are under investigation in Brown County after officers say they found them making meth in a motel room.

According to Brown County Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger on Aug. 24 at approximately 10 a.m., the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Aberdeen Police Department concerning a meth lab that was found at Brown’s Motel in Aberdeen at approximately 7 a.m. that morning.

Arrested at the scene were: Roy Douglas Sluss, 43, of Riber Road, Hillsboro and Alisa Marie Kirschner, 28, of North West Street, Hillsboro.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office filed charges on both suspects for the Illegal Manufacturing of Drugs (1st Degree Felony) and Illegal Assembly of Chemicals to Manufacture Drugs (3rd Degree Felony).

Both subjects remain incarcerated at the Brown County Adult Detention Center on $25,000 cash or 10% bond issued by Brown County Municipal Court.

Sheriff Wenninger stated that the investigation continues with charges pending on a third suspect.
