State Your Cause, a Columbus-area rock band with Highland County ties, will be playing the Colony Theater in Hillsboro at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The band will be releasing its new CD, "Escape, Rebellion and Promise" at the concert.

State Your Cause was formed by bass player Danny Zeid and guitarist Deepan Rajah. They are joined by drummer Matt Young, and Highland County brothers James Scott on lead vocals, and guitarist John Scott.

The band's latest hit, "Bring You Back," recently earned a $5,000 grand prize from www.ourstage.com in a national new music contest. The band has a strong emphasis on hard-hitting live concerts, but also has established themselves as a rock 'n' roll mainstay for their growing fan base.

The band always entertains the crowd and acknowledges their fans as the reason to take the stage. State Your Cause is committed in their journey to remove the "local" tag from their name and extend their brand nationally. They have played a variety of concert sites, including Riverbend in Cincinnati as well as many Columbus area venues.

Tickets for the Dec. 5 concert are $10 and available at the door. The band also will perform at Newport Music Hall in Columbus on Dec. 11. For more on State Your Cause, visit www.myspace.com/stateyourcause.[[In-content Ad]]
