Ohioans voted down both of the state ballot issues in Tuesday's general election.

 According to The Associated Press, with 82 percent reporting in 7,854 of 9,550 precincts:

• State Issue 1: Constitutional Convention did not pass with 69 percent (2,765,747 votes) voting No, and 31 percent (1,250,758 votes) voting Yes. In Highland County, there were 11,585 No votes, and 3,736 Yes votes.

• State Issue 2: Redistricting Commission did not pass, with 64 percent (2,643,928 votes) voting No and 36 percent (1,472,476 votes) voting Yes. In Highland County, there were 12,138 No votes and 3,627 Yes votes.

Highland County precincts also voted on a number of local issues tonight.

• Issue 3, a proposed tax levy for police salaries for the village of Lynchburg, did not pass with 338 voting against the levy and 242 voting for the levy. The Lynchburg precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 4, a proposed tax levy renewal for Brushcreek Township's fire department, passed with 312 voting for the levy and 213 voting against the levy. The Brushcreek precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 5, a proposed income tax for the East Clinton Local School District, did not pass with 346 votes against the tax and 152 votes for the tax. Parts of the Fairfield West, Penn and Union precincts voted on this issue.

• Issue 6, a local option by petition for a C-1 and C-2 liquor permit for the 73 Drive-Thru at 7901 state Route 73, Building #1, Hillsboro, passed with 332 voting yes and 199 voting no. The Liberty Northwest precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 7, a local option by petition for Sunday liquor sales for the 73 Drive-Thru at 7901 state Route 73, Building #1, Hillsboro, passed with 301 voting yes and 227 voting no. The Liberty Northwest precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 8, a local option by petition for a C-1 and C-2 liquor permit for the Shell Food Mart, 5828 W. New Market Road, Hillsboro, passed with 502 voting yes and 377 voting no. The New Market precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 9, a local option by petition for Sunday liquor sales for the Shell Food Mart, 5828 W. New Market Road, Hillsboro, did not pass with 450 voting no and 431 voting yes. The New Market precinct voted on this issue.

• Issue 10, a local option by petition for a D-1 and D-2 liquor permit for Augie's Bar and Grill, 8 East Main Street, Mowrystown, passed with 309 voting yes and 259 voting no. The Whiteoak precinct voted on this issue.[[In-content Ad]]
