Rosenberger to recognize state champion Falcons at Statehouse Dec. 11

State Rep. Cliff Rosenberger, R-Clarksville, will honor the members of Clinton-Massie Falcon football team with a resolution to recognize their Ohio High School Athletic Association Division IV state title.

Rosenberger will host a reception for the champions at the Ohio Statehouse before the presentation ceremony of the Dec. 11 regularly scheduled session of the 129th General Assembly.
 
“It’s always a privilege for me to have the opportunity to recognize the achievement of our finest local citizens.” Rosenberger said.

“Clinton-Massie has really brought pride to our communities. It’s also a testament to the spirit of our communities, who all rallied behind the Falcons.

"What these young athletes and their coaches have been able to accomplish is a result of their tremendous dedication to the sport, their commitment to their team members, and the outstanding community support that I’ve always been proud to say is second to none.

"I’m excited to welcome my alma mater to the Statehouse for such an achievement. I invite our community to come to the people’s house and celebrate Clinton-Massie’s victory at the Statehouse during session.”
 
Clinton-Massie ended an undefeated, record setting season with the victory over St. Clairsville Friday, Nov. 30 in the state title game with a score of 46-36, setting  the state season scoring record ninety points above Ohio’s previous record.

Rosenberger graduated from Clinton-Massie in 1999.

Regular session for the Ohio House of Representatives is Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m., where the team and coaches will be recognized in front of the legislative body.
