On a good night for Republicans in Highland County, GOP incumbent Rep. Cliff Rosenberger was returned to the Statehouse, only this time in the new 91st District.

Pence outdistanced Democratic challenger and Hillsboro County Councilman Peter Pence in Highland, Clinton and Pike counties.

Rosenberger defeated the late Bill Horne two years ago to represented the three-county district in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Rosenberger, a Clarksville Republican, is a United States Air Force veteran assigned to the 113th fighter wing of the Air National Guard.

Shortly after graduating from Clinton Massie High School, he enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard. As a member of the 178th Fighter Wing, he was activated to assist in the deployment of troops in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and in the response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

In the House, Rosenberger serves on the Economic and Small Business Development Committee, Finance and Appropriations Committee, Higher Education Subcommittee, Public Utilities Committee and Veterans Affairs Committee.
