Rosenberger continues work on state budget

While focusing on Ohio’s biennial budget, Rep. Cliff Rosenberger is working to bring to light important local issues and causes.

According to a news release today from Rosenberger, Ohio’s budget process is drawing to an end after nearly five months of deliberation and hearings. During this time, Rosenberger said he has been listening intently to feedback he has received from the district to make sure concerns are addressed.

“It is a very busy time in Columbus, where priorities are developed to shape what will happen over the next two years in our state,” Rosenberger said. “I divide my time between our district and Columbus to ensure our local area is represented and our concerns are heard. I’m looking forward to the upcoming summer break and being able to spend even more time in the district.”

Recently, Rosenberger welcomed Lynchburg-Clay High School sophomore J.D. McConnaughey to the Statehouse to job-shadow him for the day. J.D. witnessed the beginning of the legislative process, as Rep. Rosenberger testified before the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee as a sponsor of House Bill 65.

This legislation would allow active military members to hunt deer and turkey without obtaining a permit from Ohio Department of Natural Resources. J.D. and his family were then given a tour of the Statehouse and were recognized as guests during a recent session of the House of Representatives.
