Just following last weekend's dose of winter weather, another storm has moved into the area, and Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9 crews are at it again.

A steady snowfall since approximately 1 a.m. has left routes throughout the area snow covered, and ODOT District 9 crews have been plowing and treating the state highway system since the storm began.

With the forecast calling for more precipitation today and tomorrow, we are expecting significant accumulation. Along with additional snow, wind gusts
are also expected to increase throughout the day, which may cause blowing
and drifting snow.

ODOT's crews will continue their efforts to combat this storm; however, motorists are reminded to travel with additional caution, allowing additional travel time, reducing their speed significantly, and maintaining a safe following distance behind other vehicles and snow plow trucks.

ODOT District 9 includes Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties.
