Highland County Sheriff Ron Ward announced Tuesday morning that the reward fund for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) involved in the shooting incident directed at a Highland County Sheriff’s Deputy on August 20, 2013 at the Pike/Highland County line on SR 41, has been increased from $2,500 to $7,500, thanks to several citizens' donations that have been received by the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Ward states that “law enforcement has received an abundance of tips with information that has generated several persons of interest in the case. We are still working with other law enforcement agencies and BMV’s in multiple states to identify and find the suspect vehicle, which we believe will yield evidence that will lead us to the driver and shooter.”
Anyone with information should contact the Highland County Sheriff’s Office at 937-393-2212 or the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 740-947-2111.[[In-content Ad]]
