Republicans welcome Craig Romney at 2012 Highland County Fair

Mitt Romney’s youngest son, Craig Romney (left), attended the 2012 Highland County Fair Friday, Sept. 7.

Romney spoke at the Highland County Republican Party booth and met with several fair-goers prior to the livestock sales Friday.

State Rep. Cliff Rosenberger (center) and Highland Commissioner Shane Wilkin (right) are pictured with Romney.

Romney, the youngest son of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, also made it a point to stop by the Highland County TEA Party booth at the fair.

There, he met Bill Dalton and heard an unexpected father-son story.

Highland County resident Bill Dalton, 69, is campaigning for Mitt Romney.

Dalton’s father was a campaign leader 44 years ago for George Romney, Mitt’s father, in his 1968 bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

Craig Romney was fascinated with the multi-generational connection with his grandfather and father and the Dalton family.

Representattives from the Obama re-election campaign also attended the county fair Friday.
